Recipe for apple crumble

Hello 3rd year students!

We have sent you the recipe for apple crumble, you can also add different fruit if you like. Also as part of the crumble topping you can add some oats or crushed almonds if you prefer.

Apple Crumble (a recipe from P7/6 and of course Lolli)

Ingredients for the crumble topping
300 grams plain flour
a pinch of salt
175grams of brown sugar
200grams of unsalted butter

For the filling
450 grams of apples (or more if you like lots)
50 grams of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of plain flour
1 pinch of ground cinnamon

Preparation
Preheat oven to 180c or gas 4.
Place flour and sugar in a large bpwl and mix well. Rub butter into the flour mixture and keep rubbing until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Core and slice apples and place in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle over the flour, sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle crumble mixture on top.
Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until crumble is browned and fruit mixture is bubbling.
Serve with ice cream, cream or custard.

The sun was shining today in Scotland. The children told me it did shine sometimes, even in winter. They took me out to the trimtrail to play. I had fun!

Me and my friend the Gladigaor

I love this picture of me and my 2 friends! The Gladigator isn't so scary.......but his teeth are very sharp!

When the Gladigator came to Balornock!

A strange creature arrived at the school last week. It was a Gladigator! An alligator who is also a Gladiator! He was telling me and all the children how to live healthily!

He looked scary but he was really quite friendly!
