Lolly, the pastry cook!

Today the children taught me how to make orange shortbread.
First we prepared all the incredience. 

We molded with our little hands. 

Ready for the oven. 

Mmm, delicious! Bon appetite! Καλή όρεξη! 

Of course, I post the recipe here for all my friends:

INGREDIENTS

1) 2 ½ cups oil
2) 1 cup red wine
3) ½ cup orange juice
4) 1 ½ cups sugar
5) 1 soup’s spoon cinnamon
6) 1 teaspoon cloves
7) 1 orange (zest)
8) 1 soup’s spoon baking powder
9) ½ teaspoon baking soda
10) about 1kg soft flour
11) ½ cup roasted sesame seeds

PERFORMANCE

 We are mixing the sugar and the oil in the bowl and we are stirring with a whisk.
Add the wine, cinnamon, cloves and we drop baking soda in juice. We add them in the mixture, as well as the zest and sesame. We are stirring  well with whisk to combine ingredients. Sift flour with baking powder. Pour half  of the flour, knead and we add the rest of the flour until the dough becomes pliable and it will not sticky. Do not knead the dough too long because it will be the cookies hard. We give shape to our cookies and we could sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 170oC in air for 25-30.
